NHSi was a group collaborated project which took place in my third year of university. This was fully completed online due to covid restrictions in collaboration with NHS, Ayrshire and Arran and NHS24. We also conducted interviews with individuals from Centrestage, South Lanarkshire Social Work & the National Institute for Integrative Medicine in Bristol.

In this project we looked at the design of Healthcare Services, through the lens of the future of Blended Healthcare, adopting a research led and collaborative approach with people from different areas of the healthcare sector.

We aimed to create proposals for Future Healthcare Services that will inspire the project partners and participants, and potentially support innovation in the sector.

The cohort was split into 3 different themes for this project so there was a wide scoped lens on healthcare, my groups theme was The Future of Holistic and Preventative Care.

Our team then minimised whilst we focused in healthcare in spaces and environments with the lens of wellbeing.

To gain information and research, we designed and partook in collaborative design workshops with medical professionals to gain a deeper understanding of this project.

As well as developing a proposal for a new service, the design task should also involve creating a package of digital communication tools that enable the partner participants to easily and effectively share the project findings and outcomes within their organisations.

Our teams final outcome for this project was a community based healthcare pilot that uses a wearable device to track people’s symptoms in order to help prevent them from becoming unwell and supports them with placed based person-centred care at local hubs.
